A year has gone by. I am graduating tomorrow night. Originally, to apply for this course was to improve my skills in marketing, did not think of anything in "design". At the end of this course, I have got way more than I wish for. Compare to other classmates, my designs may be not as elegant as theirs, but this course does open a whole new door for me in career and new point of view in life.

Just got my portfolio printed yesterday. Well, at least what I have finished so far. It turned out better than I thought, when I was filling each page into the portfolio. As marketing and international business are my knowledge background, my designs are more about commercial than elegant custom designs. As the printer David said yesterday, nobody is good at everything in design world, you just need to find your area.

I still remember when I graduating from university similar time four years ago, I have sweared that I would never go back to school ever again. Oh well, maybe I should swear that again. However, unlike when I was graduating from university, by graduating from this graphic design course do not give me the feeling that everything is dust and done, but simply a warm up. The real learning and opportunities are along the road await.

Fashion Event Poster (Practice)

Practice: Muster is a fashion event and targeted audience is people who working in fashion industry professionally, not retailers but fashion buyers. This even aim for participators to discus future fashion direction.  

A while back, a friend of friend found a ginger kitten at her door step. That is one of the cutest kitten I have ever seen. Since then, I am seriously considering to prepare a letter which begin with "Dear Santa".......... Even through, I'm too old to believe he is real.

Later on, I have double checked with the owner of the place I live, the answer was as I expected: No Pets.

Last weekend, I went to a huge pet shop which is just like the size of a mini zoo. A great idea came to me after I saw half a dozen of mice. There three steps.

First, I will bring a couple of mice to home, then convince the owner that we have a serious rat problem, therefore we need a cat. After a while, I will convince the owner that the cat is going viral, we need a dog..............

I was very happy with my idea until the time to go to bed: what if those cute little mice decide to settle down in my room.....................

My Logos - Velvet Mill

These logos are designed for a vintage clothing store as practice. It provides personalized service, covers styles from 1920s onwards, targets from mid to high level income female consumers.

I have tried two types of design that would suitable for a range of applications, such as letterhead and shopping bags, etc. Background colour can be changed to suit different events.

They look quite nice, especially from an international retail brand logo point of view!
Maybe they will be one someday..................

My 4th cake!

Nice butter cake! Yummmmmy!

My First Cake!

I just baked my first cake!
It taste good, because it was made from one of those easy cake bake boxes, a bit difficult to screw up, as long as I follow the instructions. Maybe a bit more butter and couple of minutes less.
(Believe me, it is better without picture this time.)

Coffee

Having coffee in Pyrmont on a Sunday morning little while back.
Coffee was no different from other places, but the coffee cup was very interesting.
Although I was not that bad at Chemistry back in high school, but time has washed way pretty much all of it. 
Whoever designed this packaging has brought me quite a surprise !

I think this picture is really cute because my bf has the same pair of sunnies.

Although, I used to think it is funny enough to watch him wear it and acting like 90s' rock star singing in the car. Now, imagine they are in one photo, both wear the same sunnies....................

Wear sunnies 24/7. Why?

Today, at work.

A regular customer walked toward my desk as every other days.

My colleague who sits near by asked the customer "why are you still wear your sunnies (in the room) ?"

"Because my future is too bright!" my customer answered instantly with a big smile.

Maybe I should get a new pair of sunnies too ! .................With matching shoes and bag!

My Blog - Day One

People say that "a door closes and a window opens".

In my case, may be is the other way around.

Either way, I am happy.

Study graphic design in the past three months make me feel like a bird standing outside my cage, free and lost.
